Dr. Melissa Cody joined VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in 2025 as an associate veterinarian in the emergency and critical care department. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, Dr. Cody completed a rotating internship at VCA EAHRC. She has since worked extensively in emergency and urgent care medicine in the San Diego area and is excited to return to her roots at VCA.
Dr. Cody enjoys a variety of cases, from trauma to toxicities, and she is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of veterinarians. She is committed to providing exceptional care while contributing to the continued education and development of those entering the field.
