Dr. Daniel Cahn joined VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in 2025, bringing nearly a decade of experience as an internist. He previously practiced in Chicago and Northern California and is known for his compassionate, thoughtful approach to patient care. One of his greatest strengths is helping families navigate complex or chronic health challenges with clarity and support.
Dr. Cahn earned his BS in Animal Science from Penn State and his DVM from St. George's University. He completed a rotating internship at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists, followed by an internal medicine internship at Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Services. He went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at The Animal Medical Center in New York City.
His clinical interests include immune-mediated disease, gastroenterology, and urology.
