Karina Maurer is a registered veterinary technician (RVT) and hospital manager at VCA Rossmoor. A lifelong resident of Orange County, CA, Karina began her career in veterinary medicine as a kennel attendant in 2001 at VCA Tri-City in Fullerton, later transitioning into emergency medicine in 2009.
She earned her RVT license from Mt. San Antonio College in 2009 and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Biology at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2012.Karina spent 14 years at VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists in the Emergency and Critical Care department, where she advanced in leadership role as hospital purchasing manager and played an active role in mentoring and developing veterinary technicians.
In her current role, Karina is passionate about supporting her team, delivering high-quality patient care, and creating a positive experience for both clients and staff. Outside of the hospital, Karina enjoys spending time with her husband, children and their two beagles, Ruckus and Rosie. She loves to travel, and when the weather is nice you can often find her relaxing poolside.
